Hi JOHN,

Welcome to the GeoCities Personal Home Page Program! Thank you for
choosing GeoCities. To foster the growth of the GeoCities community
and to keep it fresh and evolving **PLEASE** keep in mind that you'll
need to start building your home page within the next two weeks. To
that end, this e-mail is designed to give you all the info you'll
need to get started at GeoCities.

The URL for your Personal Home Page is:
        http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Island/1324/

YOUR MEMBER NAME IS: rajahot
YOUR CURRENT PASSWORD IS: xbtwpp

(NOTE: we will NEVER ask you for your password under any
circumstances. To maintain your privacy, please do not give it
out to anyone.)

STARTING UP:
To change your password (it's a good idea) or any other personal
information, use our Profile Editor at
        http://www.geocities.com/members/tools/profile_editor.html

If you're pretty confident in your computer/Internet skills the
first thing you'll want to do is login to the GeoCities File
Manager and edit your index page with one of our three Page
Editors. Presently your page says something like "Hi, my name
is Mary and I haven't moved in yet". You'll want to edit the
index.html file and overwrite it with your own content.
Technically, this moves you in and you won't be deleted.

If you're new to the Internet you may want to use our Help
Tutorials and learn how to build pages with the GeoCities
HTML Editors
        http://www.geocities.com/main/help/zine/tutorial.html

As a perfect example of how our homesteaders help each other
out, the GeoCities resource page, a list of GeoCities help
guides written entirely by members, will surely answer many
of your questions. GeoCities always appreciates the opportunity
to showcase great member home pages!

member is located at

CONTENT GUIDELINES:
In a nutshell: no nudity, no outside sponsorship banners, and we only
allow commercial pages in the GeoShops. For more info please go to:
        http://www.geocities.com/join/geoshops/
Please be sure to read all of our policies and page content
guidelines before you start your home pages at:
         http://www.geocities.com/members/guidelines/

HOUSEWARMING PRESENTS
To welcome you to your new home at GeoCities, our sponsors
would like to present you with a few gifts. Visit the GeoCities
Housewarming area at:
        http://www.geocities.com/members/housewarming/

AND FINALLY...
We only require one thing of our homesteaders:

Support our advertising efforts with either the GeoGuide
or pop-up ads (a small second browser window will load
occasionally with your page). The GeoGuide is actually a
pretty cool navigation tool, and it's fully customizable.
Find out all about it at:
        http://www.geocities.com/members/programs/geoguide/

If you prefer the pop-ups, do nothing and the pop-ups will
appear randomly. To avoid advertising entirely you might
want to look into GeoPlus, our premium service, at
        http://www.geocities.com/join/geoplus/

Again, welcome to the neighborhood!
